It’s no longer news that iOS 8 has been available for download for a minute now. The iPhone 4 is not supported sadly.

Those are all the links you will ever need for a direct .iPSW download for iOS 8. It is important to note however that you will not be able to install the OS if you do not first download iTunes 11.4.
And you can simply click update if you have a Mac.
Please make sure to first do a complete back up of your device before attempting to install iOS 8. This is very important, you can easily do a back up with iTunes before restoring your device to a fresh iOS 8.
Incase you do not know how to do a clean install of iOS 8 on your device with the downloaded IPSW file. It’s quite simple. All you have to do is click on your device in iTunes and then hold down shift (alt for MacBook users) then click restore iPhone/iPad button… Scroll to where your download IPSW file is saved and click that. Now you just have to sit back relax and wait for the update to be completely installed. After which you can restore all your files using the backup you have previously created.
Ofcourse you don’t have to use our links to download iOS 8, you can simply navigate over to your setting and update straight from your phone if you have great wifi… But please remember it is imperative to do a back up first so that you do not lose your files.
